For Apex Power Shoes

The Apex Power line is built for durability and can be safely machine-washed using the steps below:

1. Remove the insoles from both shoes.
2. Place the shoes inside a laundry shoe bag to protect them.
3. Wash on a gentle cycle with cool water using mild detergent.
4. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.

This cleaning method applies only to the Apex Power line.

For All Other Avancus Shoes

Because other performance materials shouldn't be submerged in water or exposed to high heat, follow these manual cleaning steps instead:

1. Mix a small amount of mild, dye-free detergent (dish or laundry) with cool water.
2. Test the mixture on a hidden area first to ensure no discoloration.
3. Use a soft-bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to gently scrub the surface.
4. Wipe clean with a damp cloth to remove soap residue.
5. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.

Avoid using a washing machine or dryer for non-Apex models. Excess moisture and heat can damage certain adhesives, foams and technical materials.

2. When to Replace Your Shoes

The lifespan of your shoes will depend on your activity level, weight, training surface and storage conditions.
Replace your shoes when you notice:

• Excessive sole wear, especially uneven tread or flattening.
• Loss of support or stability when training.
• Visible holes, tears or loose stitching.
• Compression or reduced cushioning in key pressure areas.

Regularly inspecting your shoes helps prevent injuries and ensures you're always performing at your best.

3. Tips to Make Shoes Last Longer

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
• Use a shoe tree or stuff with paper to help maintain shape.
• Avoid harsh detergents or bleach, which can weaken fabric and glue bonds.

4. Apparel Care Instructions

For all Avancus apparel including our Performance and Lounge collections, you can follow these steps to maintain fit, color and comfort:

• Turn garments inside out before washing.
• Wash at 30°C (86°F) with similar colors.
• Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or harsh chemicals.
• Air dry away from direct sunlight.
• Do not tumble dry or dry clean.

All Avancus clothing is pre-shrunk and crafted from premium, high-quality fabrics. Because different materials absorb dye differently, slight color variations between styles (e.g., Performance vs. Lounge) are normal.
